I must say I am very impressed with James and his BPS outfit. Very very no nonsense professional operation with quite a bit of business in the high marque, high performance area, [very complementary with Automotion top line professionals Chris and Cam in marque types]. James has by the way owned a number of classic Alfas in his time and is no stranger to meticulously helping fast cars go a lot faster. |

Robert Kilsby - Principal and Driver
With a long background of military Special Forces and business, he is determined and meticulous, with flexibility! A definite ‘Alfisti’, he has been driving his various Alfetta GTVs for over 25 years. Over the last four years from 2003 he has campaigned his GTV across 4 Targa Tasmania’s and 2 Classic Adelaide’s, a Rally Tasmania and the Suncoast Classic along with many and varied circuit events in SA and Qld. Setting up Mountain Road Racing in 2006 and breaking into the top twenty that year in the 2006 Targa Tasmania, Robert has built on that success and the 2007 competition season to establish a great Team now to compete into that level again in 2008, then on and up from there over the next five years. A great deal of happy effort is directed now to promoting the team’s sponsoring Sponsoring Partners and achieve greater success for them and Mountain Road Racing.
Kirk Broadhurst – Navigator and Co-Driver
Kirk has packed a lot into his twenties and now is set to extend that further and get stuck into some serious competitive effort with Mountain Road Racing.
After graduating in Mathematics and Economics, now working in the detailed world of IT and recently marrying his Chicago sweetheart Jennie, Kirk has been competing on the track sprinting classic Fiat and Alfa Romeo speedsters since 2005. In the 2007 Targa Tasmania, he put his innate, calm and efficient skills into one package as a category and class winning navigator in an Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV.
With a broad range of skills and interests outside of motorsport including Chess and Go, music composition and creative design, Kirk has been described as having a steady determination and focus, empowering competitive and strategic thinking. He matches efficient preparation with quick flexibility and is looking forward again to the big big competition of the Targa Tasmania and other majors to come with the Mountain Road Racing team.
